Eglinton

Welcome to Eglinton

Eglinton is a growing community on Perth’s north coast. With views to the ocean and pristine surrounds of Banskia woodland, the suburb offers a wealth of amenities for families and couples to enjoy.

Residents have easy access to a quality range of State and private schools, retail, medical and commercial services and the spectacular Yanchep National Park is just minutes away.

Eglinton is only 20 minutes from Joondalup’s retail and entertainment precinct and the CBD will be a 45 minutes train ride away when the Metronet Yanchep rail line is operational in 2022.

According to Landgate, in 1973 Eglinton was originally the name given to a planned port about 8km south of the Moore River. The current locality became Eglington in 1980 and is one of the City of Wanneroo’s newest residential darlings. The suburb’s name came from the barque Eglinton which was wrecked on rocks adjacent to the suburb.
